Ingredients
1 small onion diced
300g mushrooms
1 clove garlic
400g beef cut into strips
3/4 pint stock
1 teaspoon cumin
1 teaspoon turmeric
3 tablespoons curry powder
salt/pepper
370g rice
200g peas ( optional )
Method
Brown off the beef in a hot pan, add the onion, mushrooms and garlic.
when the beef, onion and mushrooms are all brown, add in the cumin, turmeric and curry powder, cook for a few minutes over a low heat, add the stock, bring to the boil and simmer for ten minutes.
Add the rice to boiling water and cook
when cooked add the peas and mix together
serves 2/3 persons.
